To all our readers, I hope you all had a joyous and blessed Christmas. Thank you for all your prayers, they are so desperately needed.
As you all know, I utterly hate asking for help or telling anyone that we are struggling. But the Lord keeps telling me to put my pride aside and humble myself and ask for help. (And I have been politely scolded by some of our readers to just ask and then trust the Lord.) I'm certain there's a lesson He is trying to teach me that I just simply refuse to learn... Last month we had gotten enough help to get coal for our heater for a month, which was a life saver. (Thank you!!!) But now we are getting low and I had to put our heating money into replacing 4 tires that were slashed by vandals (and not covered by insurance... go figure...), and this on top of countless other expenses such as rising rent (by several hundred dollars), I am doing all I can but nothing seems to work. Even our previous business attempt hit a road-block due to other family problems that set back our launch for months. And the worst of all is this little voice I sometimes hear in my heart that says that all these woes would stop if I would simply quit doing God's work (which I will not do).
And so, here we are humbly asking for help and doing all we can to figure out how to make ends meet for another month.
Fortunately we do see a light at the end of the tunnel. Since we were unable to find a good-paying job around us, (and our other business venture stalled) we are now attempting to start an online store that appears to be very promising... we'll keep you all informed when it launches in a few weeks. Please keep us in your prayers that it will be successful so that we can avoid depending so much on our readers.
Thank you all again so very much, and may the Lord bless you all this Christmas season.
Your Brother in Christ,
