Before introducing the video below to you, I want to share how the Lord placed it on my path through a series of unfortunate events. As you all know we struggle financially. It is obvious that we are under a spiritual attack against our weakest links, mainly our finances and our daughter. Well, the past week or so has been more brutal than usual, literally breaking me down into tears and trying not to fall into dispare.
Our car was impounded after we got stuck in mud (this cop is well known for thinking that everyone is a drug user or dealer), and according to my state's laws he is allowed to impound it under any suspicion for upto 28 days and charging us for storage of the vehicle and towing. Luckily after begging the Lord for help for several days my wife remembered that we knew a chief of police and called to ask a favor from him. Within hours we had our car back!!! But it cost us everything we had and more. We used our heating, rent and power bill money (and even borrowed from our son) to get it back, which now means that our electricity will be shut off soon if we don't pay a minimum of $600 (the actual bill is around $1000) and we ran out of heat at the same time all this happened, so now we are using our stove and a kerosean heater to heat the home. (And these are just some of the struggles we are going thru.)
Needless to say, I was feeling very defeated and battling many dark suggestions from the evil one (he loves to kick us when we're down), when coincidentally this documentary appeared in my list to review. Struggling to hold back my tears I watched the video. AMAZING!! It first made me realize that some people have even harder lives than myself. And it reminded me that the greater the darkness, the more the light shines in that darkness. Where all seamed hopeless, the Lord rescued this man because he trusted the words of the Lord to the very end.
I hope you get a chance to watch this video and it lifts you up just as it lifted me up today when it felt like darkness was pressing in on me from all sides. And I'm sorry for , but it is so few who do reach out to lift us up, and I don't know if the Lord just wants us to remain dependant, but it really makes me feel like a failure when I ask anyone for help. (Thank you to all who has helped us in our time of need!!! Because of you we at least have food on the table!!!)
