Today at our parish, Sacred Heart Catholic church, I made small offerings to Jesus and Mary and prayed for all with special needs and intentions.
After making an Act of Contrition, I received the most precious Body and blood of Jesus Christ in the sacrament of Holy Communion. On my knees and covering my face, I did commune with Jesus. Giving thanks and praise, I affirmed my adoration and love for Him.
Then I prayed these words: “Speak Lord, Your servant listens.” (if it be His will). Jesus responded to my prayer with these words for us:
“My child Eileen, You have picked up your cross and carried it the distance as did I and many more of My children. Yet it is important to remember in a special way those who along the way that have stopped and offered to share our burden.
Go in peace to love and serve the Lord. Remember to pray for your brothers and sisters. Amen.”
