My children, thank you for heeding my call in your hearts.

You have comforted me and wiped away some of my tears; you have comforted my Son Jesus at the most critical moment in history.

Children, today I am here to tell you that every person has hope.

Peter, when he realized he had denied Jesus, wandered through the city beating his chest, screaming, and despairing over what he had done. John, my little John, brought him to my house. He stood at the door, like a dog, suffering greatly; he was repentant. I let him in and, stroking his gray hair, having understood that his repentance was sincere, I was certain that Jesus had shown him great Mercy. I tell you this because I want to tell you that even the worst of sinners can benefit from Jesus’ infinite mercy.

Take advantage of this time to return to God.

Love God today and always.

Now I leave you with the blessing of the Most Holy Trinity, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Reflection on the Message

Our Lady shares this story from real life to help us understand that what matters in Jesus’ eyes is not how we fall, but how we get back up.

Jesus entrusts the proclamation of His Word to a traitor, Peter; then to a persecutor of Christians, Paul; and to a prostitute, Mary Magdalene, the first to see the Risen Jesus.

What united them, however, was not their sin, but their conversion of life—the abandonment of their previous sinful conduct and the firm resolve never to sin again, to choose Jesus even to the point of giving their lives for Him. Let us repent, confess our sins, and make Jesus’ words our own: “Go and sin no more.”
