God is Mercy, because God is Love

Brothers and sisters, always remember my words: God is Mercy, because God is Love. A servant of God must be merciful in order to imitate God.
God uses mercy as a means to draw His wayward children to Himself. The servant of God must use mercy as a means to bring to God the children who have taken the wrong paths.

The precept of love is obligatory for everyone, but it must be threefold in the servants of God. Heaven is not attained unless one loves. To the servants of God I say: “Heaven is not attained by believers unless they love one another perfectly.”
And what are you? Are you creatures striving for the perfect life, the blessed, laborious, luminous life of a servant of God, of a minister of Christ?

Your duties must be: total love for God, total love for your neighbor. Your purpose: to serve, by returning to God those whom the world, the flesh, and the devil have stolen from Him. The only way is: through love. Love, which takes a thousand forms to reach a single end: to make others love.
Your Master of Mercy.

Reflection
On this feast day of Divine Mercy—which He expressly desired and requested of Saint Faustina—Jesus explains its profound meaning to us.
To resemble God, we must imitate Him in His deepest essence, which is Mercy and Love. Let us always remember that we all need God’s mercy as sinners, and that we must show the same mercy toward those who err. Only in this way will we allow sinners to draw near to God again and reach Paradise.
Those who are loved, in turn, become capable of loving; I love my neighbor because I feel loved by God; I forgive my neighbor because I have been forgiven by God.
