A church that bows to the spirit of the times will not last

I want to make sure that I understand Padre Pio correctly and ask: “Should I say this as I understand it?” The padre nods in the affirmative. I reply: “Good”.

“She will no longer be able to flavor people's souls with the Holy Spirit.”

I ask again: “Seasoning?” The padre answers in the affirmative. I reply: “Good.” Padre Pio speaks:

“Remember that the Holy Spirit is not the spirit of the age and that God's word is eternal. All sinfulness and everything that does not come from God will crumble to dust. The Lord bestows his love on faithful souls and gives them comfort in this time of tribulation and they need not fear. The faithless people despair because they do not know the Lord and therefore I ask you very much to pray for them so that they may be saved. Those who should proclaim the word of the Lord often turn to other teachings of their own. But a comfortable life, I ask you beloved of the Lord, is this what God wants? A life of sin, is that what God wants? Anyone who knows the Lord Jesus knows that God does not want this! He also knows where your sinfulness leads. That is why I pray for you, that you will remain steadfast and pray and remain faithful to the one and only bride of Christ. All error will pass away. God remains! The Lord is coming to you. Pray, pray very much that the love of God may grow in the hearts of men and that holiness may dwell in your hearts!”
