Need Help and Prayers...

I know this is an odd place to seek help for a family pet, but we are already sharing this on social media and my wife asked me to at least mention it here as well. (And who can say 'no' to their wife's pleads???)

Our dog, Benita, is gravely ill. She has been diagnosed with pyometra, a bacterial infection of the uterus that poisons the bloodstream and does not resolve on its own. Without emergency surgery, it is fatal, often within days.

The surgery costs approximately $3,000 and we don't have it.

So I'm asking first for your prayers — that the surgery becomes possible. Please pray for our children too, who love this dog.

And if you are able to give, any amount brings her closer to that operating table. If you aren't, please don't give it another thought. Just say a prayer for us.

I know some people may get upset for us seeking help for a pet when so many people need help. But Benita isn't a possession to us. She's part of the family.
